Geoff Cooney

With four decades in commercial finance behind him, Geoff brings insight into the SME fund raising process from all angles having been a lender, a borrower and, for the last 25 years or more, a finance broker. With Tor Business Finance, Geoff aims to simplify access to debt funding for owner managers of SMEs of all shapes and sizes.

Away from work, Geoff enjoys travels with his wife ( and his now grown up family who somehow still seem to be tagging along ), still manages to find lots of new alternative music and has recently taken up running 5Ks.

Robert Smith

After a less than illustrious Royal Navy career as a nuclear engineer, Robert fell into financial services and mortgage broking in 1993. Having specialised for many years in Buy to Let and residential property finance, acting for clients and companies some with hundreds of properties in complex portfolios, expansion into the commercial lending field seemed a logical next step.

Rob’s interests include Aston Villa, Brice Springsteen and breeding tropical fish.

Robert is ably assisted by his PA, Matt who handles most of the admin as well as being our in house tech expert
